In some modern cars, the fuel level is determined when starting the engine on the base of readings from a sensor in the fuel tank. Then fuel level indicator on the driver’s indicator is adjusted by a computer on the basis of current petrol consumption results from the petrol injection times.
In this case during running on gas, petrol gauge in the car shows a loss of fuel in the tank even though the fuel is not consumed. Every each time when the engine is started with emulator EPP fuel level is restored to the actual level in the tank.
Small dimensions and a hermetic enclosure allows for mounting the device near petrol tank (resistance to weather conditions).
